Sea to Soil: A Seaweed and Native Flower Adventure

A hands-on workshop engages primary school students in exploring the connection between coastal ecosystems and native plant growth. Through interactive, sensory-based learning activities, students investigate the role of seaweed as a natural soil enhancer and discover how native seeds support biodiversity and healthy environments.

Designing for Pollinators Through Circular Design Principles

Participants will construct a Bee BnB using reclaimed, natural, and recycled materials while exploring the importance of pollinators in healthy ecosystems. This hands-on workshop encourages sustainable thinking through circular design principles, where materials are reused, repurposed, and designed to minimise waste.

Native Bee Workshop

Our Native Bee Workshop introduces Kindergarten to Grade 2 students to the fascinating world of Australian native bees through hands-on learning and creative activities. Students discover the important role native bees play in pollination and biodiversity, explore how bees use their senses to find flowers, and learn simple ways to support pollinators in their own gardens and school grounds. Through interactive discussions and practical activities, students create bee-themed artwork and make a recycled paper plant pot to take home with a seedling.

Ceramic Flowers and Insect sculptures

Participants will explore the beauty and importance of garden biodiversity by creating handmade ceramic flowers and insect sculptures. This creative workshop combines art, nature, and environmental learning, encouraging participants to design colourful pieces that enhance outdoor spaces while supporting local ecosystems
